Covenant Community Ministry was original conceived and initiated in September of 1989 by Joel
L. Getts in the city of Miamisburg, Ohio. It was initially a home Bible study group which met twice weekly until it was disbanded
in January of 1990. Joel continued to teach in various arenas and the ministry continued to be involved in the publication
of Christian educational materials and promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ through various activities until its official
chartering August 12, 2000. Such practices continued beyond that point only with more intensity and established procedure.
Two official educational institutions were established on August 12, 2000 by the Covenant Community Ministry; the Central
Institute for Education Advancement and the Covenant Community School of Ministerial Studies which on October 15,2001 was
renamed the Covenant Community School of Biblical Studies. To date several students from the USA and Canada have trained for
ministry and are now licensed and/or ordained through the Covenant Community Ministry. Joel and his wife Jeri live at the
ministry center and share the efforts of the ministry of education, service and care for those entering into Christian ministry.
