Author, educator, funeral director, ordained minister and business owner, our administrator and dean of academic affairs Joel Getts, yields an experienced and enthusiastic approach to continuing education. Joel brings the knowledge of over a quarter century of business management in southwest Ohio and over a decade of active ministry into a vibrant and stirring combination that will make a positive impact on every CIEA student. Joe is a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, the Church Leadership Academy, the American Association of Christian Counselors Center for Biblical Counseling and the Interfaith School of Theology, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. He has earned a Master of Arts in Theology, a Doctor of Ministry  degree and a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies all from St. Luke Evangelical School of Biblical Studies. He has also earned a Masters degree in Sacred Historical Theology from the Universal School of Theology. Joel is  a certified pastoral counselor specializing in the areas of grief and loss and relational development. He and his wife of 30 years, Jeri, reside in Miamisburg, Ohio.
