For twenty five years Joe Getts worked full time in the funeral industry, being fully licensed as
a funeral director and embalmer for more than twenty of those years. He owned and operated three different funeral homes for
a period of eighteen years during his career. Joe is a graduate of the Church Leadership Academy, the Center for
Biblical Counseling and has earned a Master of Arts in Theology and a Ph.D in Biblical Studies degree from St. Luke
Evangelical School of Biblical Studies, and is also a certified pastoral counselor. Joe has studied exstensively at Trinity
Theological Seminary and has spoke at many funeral service conventions ans seminars on grief and loss. He is also an
adjuct instructor at the Thomas Bilney Theological Semoinary in Miamisburg, Ohio and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
He has been married to his wife Jeri for over thirty years. They have two daughters. Joe and Jeri reside in Montgomery
County, Ohio.
